A week before mothers day, I got some beautiful flowers. I love flowers that are "just because". I don't want flowers on valentines day or any 'commercial' holidays. I think they mean more when they are for no other reason than I love you and appreciate you. *(disclaimer: I got these the day before my hubby was scheduled to have surgery. When he is facing going under the knife he tends to get sentimental. He thinks he is close to death so he gave me flowers. )

Eh, I'm a sucker for the comercial holidays too. Though "just because" flowers are even better. Means they are actually thinking of you. Too funny what you wrote about Jon, though.
